Vocabulary Guides to Classic TV Shows

Mission Impossible
It's cool to be able to sit down, turn on the TV and flip over to a Spanish language station and understand what is being said--and to actually enjoy the content. It's also very difficult and can be overwhelming to try to decipher what is being said. But if, while you are training your ear and strengthening your vocabulary, you know ahead of time what words are going to be used, it's a huge benefit. We can help you build your vocabulary and have fun at the same time.

Access to Spanish through Spanish

Based on the classic 1936 text by Estefanía D. de Chávez and updated for 2008 by the authors of the Big Red Book of Spanish Vocabulary, the program teaches you Spanish in 52 lessons using text and audio in Spanish beginning with Lesson 1. The program includes the on-line text and soon to be published audio, questions and answer keys.

Vocabulary Guides to the New Testament

Spanish BibleSome have learned a foreign language just through studying the Bible. Because of their familiarity with the English version they were able to put together the pieces to a target language and learn the language. There are so many tools available today that you don't need to do that. But, what better way to build your vocabulary than to study the Scriptures? We make this easier to do by supplying vocabulary lists to passages from the Spanish New Testament, Dios Habla Hoy, a version written in everyday Spanish speech.

Vocabulary Guides to novels and non-fiction.

Narnia - The Lion the Witch and the WardrobeIt was this reading and our frustration with having to look up words in multiple dictionaries--and sometimes still not come up with the right meaning along with the slow and tedious process of looking up words that led to our development of this service. Who wants to be slowed down by looking up several words on every page of reading? We help with that by anticipating what words you'll need to know and providing you with a list ahead of time, so that you can learn and review that list and keep the flow of your pace as you read. Our current queue includes books like C. S. Lewis' The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Call it Courage, and more.
