General QuestionsJust click here or click on Join Now in the top menu or in the right hand column below the Stumble It! button, and follow the steps to fill in the form. You can choose your level of membership (1) Premium Monthly Subscription ($24.95/mo.) or (2) Premium Annual Subscription ($249/year--two months free).
This may be because you are entering your username and/or password incorrectly. Please note that the password is CasE-SensiTiVe and has to be entered exactly as you entered it on your subscription form. See below if you have forgotten your username and/or password. Or it may be because your subscription has expired, in which case click on Renew in the footer menu. Please note that passwords are CasE-SensiTiVe, so have to be entered exactly as you entered them on your subscription form. If you still can’t access member pages, click here and fill in the form that will automatically have your password emailed to you. If you want to change the password that is emailed to you, just go to Preferences, Change Password and fill in the boxes with your old and new passwords. If, however, you have changed email addresses since beginning your subscription and have not informed us, or if you can’t remember your username, email subscriptions@languagesafari.com for assistance. For the reasons outlined above, it will help you if you keep us informed of your preferred email address if it has changed since beginning your subscription to Language Safari. To let us know your new email address, just log in and click on Preferences, Personal Preferences, and insert your new email address. The best way to handle this at present is to call us at 888-456-SAFARI (888-456-7232). Click on the little printer icon in the upper right hand corner of the article to view a print-friendly version of it. Then click on File, Print in the top left hand corner. Click on the little letter icon in the upper right hand corner of the article, fill in the ‘Send this page to a friend’ form and click on ‘send’. To see the most recently published articles, scroll down to the bottom of the home page which lists the newest 10 articles, the most recent at the top. To find lists of the 10 next most recently added articles, click on ‘more articles’ at the bottom of the home page and then on successive numbers at the bottom of these pages. The higher the page number, the earlier the articles were published. If you’re interested in just one category of article (television shows, for instance), click on that category name in the left hand menu and again you will see lists of the most recent 10 articles. When we substantially update a published article, we try to add the date of latest update and/or a new comment in the brief description that appears below the article’s title in these listings to attract your attention to that update. You can find both the date of publication and the date of the last update at the bottom of each article. (If you really want to see what has most recently been updated, click on ‘RSS’ at the very bottom of any page or on the RSS Feed button in the right column.) To read an article, just click on its title. Several new articles are added to the site most weeks. Word Reference is our favorite on-line foreign language dictionary, but like all dictionaries we've found, it is not complete. This is one of the reasons Language Safari Vocabulary Builder Guides are so valuable: you have the words at your fingertips without having to search through several dictionaries to find the definition you are looking for. In any event, if you would like a list of on-line dictionaries and their links, click here. Language Safari will help you learn a foreign language in two ways. First, if you follow the Homeschool Spanish lessons you can move from being a novice language learner to being an advanced student who has a thorough knowledge of Spanish in context. Second, after you've mastered the basic vocabulary, you can follow your interests and build your vocabulary by reading, listening, and watching naturally occurring Spanish in the entertaining contexts of novels and non-fiction books, magazine articles, internet radio segments, music, youtube features, television shows and movies. Learning Spanish through these means will not be effortless, but it will be worth it! Another benefit of Language Safari is that you have the option of learning Spanish through our Homeschool Spanish Podcast and Text lessons or you can use the Vocabulary Builder Guides in conjunction with any language learning system you choose: PowerGlide, Rosetta Stone, Auralog, Living Language, Berlitz, Instant Immersion, Pimsleur or any other system that you choose. We have to start somewhere, so we begin with the language we know best: Spanish. We do plan to offer Italian, French, German, Russian, and Portuguese in the next few years. Look for the first of these in early 2010. If you have a class project and you are reading a book or article or are watching a movie or television show together, yes, by all means print out the Vocabulary Builder Guide and share it with your students. We do ask, however, that you don't share your username and password with others and that you otherwise respect copyrights. Click on Contact at the bottom of any page. Choose General Enquiries from the drop-down Subject box unless your query is about Subscriptions or access to member pages (see above), or you have spotted a problem with the site (Site Problems), or you are a member and want to send a question or comment to the members' forum. Please note that email is our preferred method of communication. Emails are also likely to be answered much more swiftly than telephone messages. |
