Señor Izquierdo’s car drove slowly beside me.
Fortunately, neither the passengers nor the driver noticed me, and they didn’t spot IVI’s chest of cards either. They continued on their way and turned at the corner.
I remained hidden for several minutes, then climbed down out of the tree and picked up the backpack containing the chest. I walked down the empty street to the corner, but as I turned the corner onto a narrow street, I witnessed a horrific scene. An elderly lady was shouting and crying, holding onto her husband who was lying beside her on the ground.
